Icarus International Group attends the 16th MRO Americas 2011 exhibition
in Miami on April 12-14

Over 6,000 executives and professionals from all areas of the aviation aftermarket industry attended this year's Aviation Week MRO Americas 2011, at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Miami, Fla., the world’s largest industry event. Icarus International Group with its partner I2I Engines also participated at the show with Thouki Stavris, the company’s Managing Director and Michael Kevrekidis, the Director of Purchasing & Sales.

Icarus International Group Launches a new web site

Saudi Arabia – Icarus is launching a new corporate web site under the domain The new site which is designed and engineered by Umair captures the essence and business philosophy of the Group which it can be described as: fast and effective, user friendly and modern. The new site provides visitors with a fast search inventory engine, an RFQ module, a Feature Components field and description of the company’s services, partners and news.

Icarus International Group purchases a new CF6-50 engine

Victorville, California – Icarus International Group has reached an agreement with Pacific Aviation Group over the sale of a Cathay Pacific operated CF6-50E2 engine. The engine will be transported from Victorville California to Miami for disassembling by IIG’s partner company I2I Engines ( Some of the parts will be used on other IIG owned serviceable CF6-50 engines and the rest – several of which will be overhauled- will be offered up for sale.

Orangeburg, New York – Michael Kevrekidis joins Icarus Int’l Group as a Director of Purchasing & Sales. Michael comes to Icarus with over 17 years of business experience in Europe and the U.S. and will be responsible for the oversight, development and further success of the company. I2I ENGINES receives FAA approval

Miami, Florida - I2I Engines LLC, an Icarus International Group LLC partner company, receives Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Certification of Repair Station for the General Electric’s CF6 Engine Model Series. The FAA has assigned Certified Repair Station No. 21ER163B to I2I Engines LLC.
“We have been able to provide our customers with engine disassembly from module to individual component level in pass but at this time we can provide complete engine overhaul for the CF6 Engine Model Series” said Mauricio Luna,I2I Engines’ Chief Operation Officer.

Utilizing strategic partner alliances, I2I Engine LLC can manage the whole engine overhaul process for the CF6 Engine Models. “We offer a unique service to our customers. We are able to provide, engine model repair and/ or replacement, component inventory stock, component repair management and engine testing to significantly reduce the total cost of ownership of the engine” Luna stated.

In addition to the overhaul capability of the CF6 engines, I2I Engines LLC provides engine disassembly service for the JT9D all models, RB211-524 and the CFM56-3 Engine models. Recently the disassembly capability of the RB211-535 Engine Model Engines was added.
